In this first video, I introduce myself and the workshop, show off some of my favourite prints (including gaming terrain, a gamma-irradiated fist, treasure chests, serving plates, and a muddy pig!), and give a spotlight on SpeakCAD, a browser-based CAD tool that lets you design parts for 3D printing by tapping and typing sizes, or by describing them to its AI. I show several parts I’ve already designed with it, including a telescopic funnel and ratcheted graphics card struts. Then I design a brand new one live, a new wall clip for a pesky mop, print it on the X2D and install it, start to finish.
