The Protectors Marine Management: Hurricane Melissa Coral Reef Response #hurricanemelissa #coralreef

On 28th October 2025, the eye of Category 5 Hurricane Melissa, dubbed "the Storm of the Century", passed over the coral nurseries operated by our team of local fishers and graduates in northern Jamaica. This action-packed reel of footage documents some of the response efforts that took place during the first fortnight of the aftermath, including the rescue of all previously inventoried bleaching tolerant wild colonies throughout Trelawny Parish.
