Bear Mountain | Day 87 — NOBO Appalachian Trail 2026 - Fingerboard Shelter to Hemlock Springs Camp

Today, Sweets and Thumbs Up have their hottest day on trail. Temps reach 96° with a 101° heat index. But they crossed over 1400 miles!! Even with some steep climbs, they manage to take on Bear Mountain with ease. By making good time, they were even able to stop at Bear Mountain Inn for several hours to edit and upload videos. However, even with stopping by the trail side zoo, they still have yet to see a bear. They end the day by crossing the Hudson River, making a big climb up Anthony’s Nose, and setting up their tent at Hemlock Springs for a very warm evening.
