Bundestag President Dr. Norbert Lammert at Leuphana's Opening Week 2017

Since 1966 Dr. Lammert has been a member of the Christian Democratic Union party. Dr. Lammert ensures that the Parliament’s rules are upheld and serves as a representative of the Parliament. He is head of the Bundestag administration and the Bundestag Police. Dr. Lammert studied political science, modern history, and social economics in Bochum Germany, and Oxford, England, he went on to earn his Doctorate in Social Science in 1975.
