An Enigmatic Spiritual Journey in "slow" Deep House (NIGREDO Series DJ Set)

⚗️Is a DJ a type of alchemist? I'd like to think so… and this is the start of my NIGREDO DJ Set Series with some downtempo beats with an ethnic and spiritual vibe. Either if you’re new to club culture or not, this might change your day. 💡So I had this idea of curating the songs based on the four alchemic stages towards the so-called magnum opus, or “the great work”. Although the alchemists had this obsession with turning lead into gold, spiritually-speaking achieving the magnum opus was more like getting to your highest possible evolution. And musically-speaking, well, that’s my job to figure that out and present to you. So phase 1 is called Nigredo, it’s the decomposition phase, it calls us to confront our shadows and embrace inner chaos. Slow house, or downtempo as they call it, seemed like a good place to start. In my past years as a traveler, I used to listen to that kind of sound a lot.
