Traces of Life | Southern Gothic Soul Ballad | Lyrics by Joane Keller

Some songs deserve to be heard again. Some words deserve never to be forgotten. *“Traces of Life”* is a haunting reflection on the lives we live, the people we love, and the memories we leave behind. Written in the 1970s, with lyrics by the late **Joane Keller**, who also published poetry under the name **Joan Caldwell**, this beautiful song has found a new musical interpretation through Glenmore Music. This Southern Gothic soul arrangement brings her words to life with a smoky female voice, mournful cello, atmospheric guitar, and haunting harmonies. Joane's lyrics remain unchanged. Her words tell the story. The music simply gives them another voice. *Original songwriting credits:* Joane Keller (Joan Caldwell) and Paul Huffman *Original recording:* Lonzo & Oscar *New musical interpretation:* Glenmore Music Created with love and respect for Joane's extraordinary gift for storytelling, and with heartfelt thanks to her daughters for sharing their mother's work with us. May her words continue to find new hearts. 🎶 Glenmore Music — Where every song tells a story. \#TracesOfLife #JoaneKeller #GlenmoreMusic #SouthernGothic #SoulBallad #StorytellingThroughMusic #OriginalSongwriters
