A dispute between a husband and wife over property division and hostel rent allegedly turned violent in Jayadev Vihar, Bhubaneswar. The wife of a hostel owner, identified as Priyambada Mohanty, is accused of assaulting a young woman staying at the hostel, allegedly leaving her with a head injury. Residents also alleged that the hostel rooms were locked from outside and that water and electricity supplies were cut off. Police from Nayapalli Police Station and a PCR team reportedly rescued the woman and took her to Capital Hospital for treatment. A complaint has been filed, and police have started an investigation.
