The Casio Pro Trek PRW-35 weighs just 45 grams, but still includes the full Triple Sensor system, Tough Solar, Multiband 6, Bearing Memory, and a positive STN display.
After unboxing the watch and testing it outdoors, it's time for the full review.
In this video, I look at what the PRW-35 is actually like to live with, including its compact size, wearing comfort, display, controls, outdoor sensor performance, and the features that make it one of the most interesting lightweight Pro Trek models I've tested.
I also discuss some of the compromises you might expect from such a compact watch — including the fixed bezel and its more understated design — and whether any of them really matter in practice.
During my Field Test, the compass and Bearing Memory successfully guided me to a selected destination, the altimeter produced the correct height difference on an observation tower, and both the barometer and thermometer behaved as expected.
The result is a Pro Trek that offers serious outdoor functionality without the size and weight normally associated with the range.
A detailed PRW-30 vs PRW-35 comparison is also coming soon. Rather than simply declaring one watch better, I'll compare the two and look at which model may be the better fit for different types of users.
