After leaving Evolution and overcoming Triple H at WrestleMania 21 to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, Batista proved that he was no longer Triple H’s protégé. He then defeated Triple H again at Backlash 2005 to retain the World Heavyweight Championship and cement his place at the top of WWE. But an even greater obstacle remained. At Vengeance, Batista must face the ultimate authority figure in WWE: Mr. McMahon, the boss of his journey. Mr. McMahon believes that Batista has become too confident. After defeating Triple H and establishing himself as World Heavyweight Champion, The Animal appears almost invincible and untouchable. But Vince wants to prove otherwise. He wants to show Batista and the entire WWE Universe that no Superstar is truly untouchable when the Chairman himself stands in their way. Now Batista has had enough. At Vengeance, The Animal steps into a brutal 3 Stages of Hell Match against Mr. McMahon to end the Chairman’s reign of tyranny once and for all.
