A Special Day of Hope, Community, and Inspiration with The Angel Funds Annual - Walk for Hope

Some events remind us that it’s not just about the places we visit, but the people we meet and the lives they touch. I recently had the privilege of attending the Angel Fund Walk of Hope at beautiful Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, Massachusetts. It was truly an inspiring day, filled with compassion, community spirit, and hope for those affected by ALS. I spoke with several participating teams and Angel Fund President Rich Kennedy, and had the opportunity to hear from Dr. Robert Brown, the Donna M. and Robert J. Manning Chair in Neurosciences and Director of the Program in Neurotherapeutics at UMass Chan Medical School. Dr. Brown shared the latest advances in the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and explained how the support of the Angel Fund is helping advance critical research in the search for effective treatments and a cure. It was a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together for a common cause.
