MLB Postseason Recap (ALCS): The Rays are One Win Away... But the Guardians Aren't Done Yet

Send us Fan Mail (https://www.buzzsprout.com/2558840/fa...) Hey babes!!! The World Series is almost here, and the postseason drama isn't slowing down ~ After the Milwaukee Brewers swept the Los Angeles Dodgers in a historic NLCS rematch, all eyes are on the American League Championship Series (ALCS). The Tampa Bay Rays have taken a 3-2 series lead over the Cleveland Guardians after winning back-to-back games this weekend. Now, the Rays are just one win away from their first World Series appearance since 2020, but Cleveland has already proven that elimination doesn't mean defeat. In today's mini recap, we're talking about: • The Brewers' revenge sweep of the Dodgers and their first World Series appearance since 1982 • Saturday's 7-3 Rays victory and the offensive performances of Jonathan Aranda, Junior Caminero, and Yandy Díaz • Drew Rasmussen's dominant pitching performance in Sunday's 3-1 win • How Friday's rainout changed the ALCS schedule • Tonight's Game 6 pitching matchup: Freddy Peralta vs. Shawn Armstrong/Cleveland Bullpen • What needs to happen for Cleveland to force a winner-take-all Game 7 • Why a Rays vs. Brewers World Series would guarantee a first-time champion Plus, my soft take on why momentum doesn't guarantee a certain outcome, especially when the Cleveland Guardians have already made a habit of surviving elimination games. ALCS Game 6: Monday, October 19, at 8:08 PM ET on TBS. Who do you think will face the Brewers in the World Series? Welcome to the softest corner of sports media!
