Two disciples leave Jerusalem carrying a disappointed hope. A traveler draws near, listens to their story, and begins to explain the Scriptures. They still do not know who is walking beside them. In this narrative study of Luke 24:13–35, we follow the road to Emmaus: the news of the empty tomb, the conversation with Jesus, the invitation to stay, the recognition at the table, and the return to Jerusalem. Why did recognition not come immediately? What does the passage explain, and which questions does it leave unanswered? We follow the text carefully, distinguishing the biblical account, interpretation, and application. Which moment stood out to you? Share your thoughts in the comments and join us for the next study. The scenes are artistic reconstructions. This original narrative study uses paraphrase and reflection on the biblical passage.
