Sea Kayaking in Cape Town | Dolphins, Rain & Ocean Atmosphere

A relaxed sea kayaking tour along the Atlantic coast of Cape Town. We launch from a small bay near the seaside promenade below Lion's Head and paddle in double kayaks along the coastline while our guide explains marine wildlife and searches for dolphins offshore. The weather changes constantly during the tour: light rain showers dramatic cloud formations above the mountains shifting ocean colors a full rainbow near Lion’s Head calm water turning into small rolling waves as a rain front approaches Most of the experience is quiet and atmospheric: waiting for dolphins, drifting on the water, listening to the guide, and watching the changing sky over Cape Town. As the wind slowly picks up, we paddle back toward the bay through gentle wave lines that remain harmless for the kayaks. Everyone returns safely to shore, and the kayaks are carried back up the beach.
