You are - Our Army! - Rare Soviet Song - Lyrics RU/ENG

This song was written by Vladimir Firsov and Yuri Chichkov sometime in the 1980s and was only recorded once during a radio performance by the Alexandrov ensemble on the day of the Red Army. Lyrics (English, might need correction): On snowdrifts of the civil war, In the glint of blades and bayonets The glory of the first Soviet regiments began being born in battles. You are - our army, Passed through the fire and fighting! For friends you are of the red star, But for enemies you are fearsome! You have written your feats into history! In forty-five(1945), the soldiers won brought (victory) home on their shoulders. This joyful date, The peoples of the Earth will never forget! You are - our army, Passed through the fire and fighting! For friends you are of the red star, But for enemies you are fearsome! You have written your feats into history! Knowing the strength of the army brotherhood, We live in this dangerous world, Veterans and recruits - We are all sons to the army. You are - our army, Passed through the fire and fighting! For friends you are of the red star, But for enemies you are fearsome! You have written your feats into history!
