What is Melodic Metalcore?

A successor to Melodic Death Metal, Melodic Metalcore was one of the most prevalent metal genres of the 2000s. It may be often overlooked or dismissed, but it has it's place in metal history. I do not own the music. It is for educational and entertainment purposes, as always.
