This is a 10-minute video of highlights from the first game of an April 25, 1970 Major League Baseball doubleheader between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Red Sox in Boston, won by the Brewers, 10-4. It is from the WHDH TV in Boston broadcast, with Ken Coleman and Ned Martin on play by play and Johnny Pesky on analysis. The Red Sox and Brewers were tied at 4 after two innings, but Milwaukee had a six-run third, aided by three Boston errors, and there wasn't any scoring the rest of the way at Fenway. Tommy Harper went 4 for 5 with 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored for the Brewers, new to Milwaukee this season after a year in Seattle as the Pilots. Rico Petrocelli hit a three-run homer for the Red Sox. Notes: The Red Sox won the second game, 3-0, as Gary Peters improved to 2-1 on a four-hitter, walking four and striking out four. George Scott and Mike Andrews had solo homers for Boston and Tony Conigliaro added an RBI single ... This game has been out there, and I've had it up as part of one big file. But I'm posting all the games individually now. Box score in comments. Not copyrighted. I don't claim the rights to, and don't profit from, this video. I posted it for historical and educational purposes, and for those who will enjoy it as much as I did.
