Patrick's Take- Glacier White 1996 Porsche 911 Targa

HCC is pleased to offer this 1998 Porsche 911 (993) Targa, painted in Glacier White over a two-tone Cashmere Beige/Black leather interior. This example currently shows 44,740 miles and is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six air-cooled engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission producing 285 horsepower. For many purist Porsche enthusiasts, the air-cooled technology implemented into early Porsche 911 models was relished for the raw and engaging driving experience it provided. Upon introduction in 1993, the 993-generation ultimately marked the end of the air-cooled Porsche era. Models such as the 993 Targa were offered in 1998 as the 993 production concluded. In the 1998 model year, it is estimated 334 993 Targas were produced, with just 122 entering US and Canadian markets. Factory equipment on this 993 Targa includes the HiFi Sound Package w/ Speakers, AM/FM Radio w/ Speakers, Power Seat Package, and Wheel Caps w/ Porsche Crest. Being a Targa, the car features the standard electronically retractable glass roof panel. This 993 Targa spent the early part of its life in the greater Dallas area from 1998-2009, with routine services performed at Porsche of Plano. The car was acquired by the current consignor in November 2024 and is now being offered with a clean Texas title, clean CarFax report, and keys.
