Flava Boyz - House Of Flava Snippets (2002 Rare Underground Hawaii Hip Hop CD Sampler) West coast

Flava Boyz – House Of Flava album snippets from the rare, original 2002 independent physical CD press out of Hilo, Hawaiʻi. While early digital carrier data and carrier routing hubs initially misidentified this release as originating from Honolulu, deep-dive archival research into the physical liner notes definitively corrects the record: this is a definitive slice of independent Big Island (Hawaiʻi Island) music history. With the album now completely wiped from digital platforms, streaming services, and the CD Baby digital catalogue, this physical media archive by mr.glmc stands as one of the only remaining audio documentations of this project. Recorded with an incredible lineup of prominent local Big Island contemporary jazz, pop, and fusion session musicians, the audio blends smooth regional grooves with signature turn-of-the-century independent production. Predominantly west coast sounding rap, again, with various elements, even an Island reggae jam style track they jam over with a Daddy Snow type vibe on the Stalag riddim, hints of R&B with one track sounding like a Bone Thugs / Anotha Level type crossover track. This audio overview is uploaded strictly for historical documentation, track playability validation, and physical press verification for the underground music community.
