WHEN PEOPLE TURN AGAINST YOU, REMEMBER THIS! | Covered While Criticized | Psalm 7

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU TURN AGAINST YOU? What happens when people criticize you, question your calling, misunderstand your intentions, or attempt to discourage you from fulfilling your GOD-given assignment? HERE'S SOMETHING YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND: YOU CAN BE COVERED WHILE CRITICIZED BECAUSE YOU ARE GUARDED BY GOD! In this powerful and encouraging sermon, Dr. John E. Robinson, II launches the November sermon series, GRATEFUL WHILE GRAPPLING: Giving Thanks When Life Is a Fight!, with a message entitled COVERED WHILE CRITICIZED, drawn from Psalm 7:1–2 (KJV). David knew what it meant to experience opposition. He faced criticism, betrayal, and threats from people who wanted to see him fail. Yet, instead of allowing his circumstances to destroy his confidence, David turned to the LORD! Psalm 7:1 declares: "O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:" IN THIS SERMON, DISCOVER: ✅ Why criticism does not cancel GOD'S covering. ✅ Why your anointing and assignment may attract opposition. ✅ How negative voices can distract you from your GOD-given purpose. ✅ Why you must stop allowing other people's opinions to define your identity. ✅ What David teaches us about trusting GOD when life becomes a fight. ✅ The significance of declaring, "O LORD my God," and trusting in GOD'S covenant faithfulness. ✅ Why GOD remains the one constant when relationships, circumstances, and opportunities change. ✅ How GOD'S faithfulness can sustain you through financial hardship and unexpected difficulties. ✅ Why sometimes the person criticizing you the most is YOU! Through biblical teaching, personal testimony, practical wisdom, and powerful preaching, Dr. Robinson reminds us that we can remain grateful even while grappling with life's greatest challenges. SERMON POINT: GUARDED BY GOD! We give GOD gratitude for His protection! You may be criticized, but you are not forgotten. You may experience opposition, but you do not have to abandon your assignment. You may be misunderstood, but somebody else's opinion does not determine what GOD has declared concerning you! MAKE THIS DECLARATION: I KNOW THAT I'M COVERED WHILE CRITICIZED BECAUSE I'M GUARDED BY GOD! A CHALLENGE FOR THIS WEEK: As an additional application of this message, take time each morning to recognize one specific way GOD has been your refuge, protection, or source of strength. And when stress, fear, or anxiety arises, pause for 60 seconds and intentionally thank GOD for His faithfulness! These challenges are additional applications from the prepared sermon notes. LET'S TALK IN THE COMMENTS! Have you ever experienced criticism or opposition while trying to do what GOD called you to do? How did you maintain your faith and confidence? Share your testimony below.
