Stinson Beach, California October 27th, 2021 Filmed With: Gopro Hero 7 Rollout Company: SCS (Strategic Cart Services) Last Wednesday, around 9:00am, the first ever bin in Seadrift was replaced with a 32 Gallon Recology SF Toter. Seadrift is a seperate community within the town of Stinson Beach, and it's one of the largest areas to replace carts in. Recology, in partnership with Strategic Cart Services, has completed the replacement of 95% of carts on the 15 Cul De Sacs along Shoreline Highway and Calle Del Arroyo, leading up to Seadrift and starting Northward of the public Beach entrance. For each stream, there is technically 4 sizes available, which are: 25, 32/35, 64, and 96. Garbage has all of those sizes available, but Recycle and Compost are from 32 - 96 Gallon 99.9% of the time. The fascinating thing with this rollout is that the majority of old WM Trash Cascades are being replaced with "16 Gallon" black San Francisco Toters. They're actually not 16 gallon! The awesome guy in the back of the truck putting the carts together explained to me that, for the Sonoma-Marin rollout, they took a whole bunch of previously 16 gallon exclusive San Francisco Toters, and modified them into 32 Gallons. How so? By sawing out the middle divider that makes them 16 Gallon, explaining why some of the BRAND NEW Toters are super dirty on the outside - because they sat in a wet, saw dust covered warehouse for several weeks. For the rest of the carts, 21, 64, and 96, they are regular grey Marin Toters. 35 Gallon Grey Marin toters, which look different, were what they used for a while to replace old 35's - but now it looks like SF bins it is. To sum it up, even though the Black Toters clearly say 16 Gallon on them, they are indeed not, and instead 32s. I have a brand new black SF Toter, and I love it. No kidding, it was a blast to film this and hangout with these guys. SCS is a nationwide contract company, similar to Waste Rec, which companies can hire to perform rollouts. They keep track of what each house receives and what they take back. For each stream, there is 1-3 trucks, half Flat beds and half Ryder Rentals like this one. Each truck can hold about 120 carts, and for each week that they come, at least one extra 3 hour long round trip is made back up to the Petaluma yard for more carts. This week, about 80% of trash and compost carts were replaced along Seadrift Rd. Mainly old, 1980's - 90's Waste Management Cascades. You could see stacks and stacks of them piling high from a mile away. That's the end of the description. -- THANK YOU so much to this AWESOME crew for letting me tag along and film the whole process!! And to Garen as well, for briefing everyone on the entire process... and allowing me to have several old bins!! Seriously, these guys are awesome, and they made the whole experience very enjoyable. Definitely stay tuned in the near future, as I'll have loads more footage from this rollout coming soon + an exciting video tomorrow!! Dipsea Rd happens next week, and I'll be collecting even more carts. Should be awesome. So, yeah, Enjoy my beginning video of these guys knocking out the first few houses in Seadrift!! These carts had been here for decades, and overall the whole thing is incredibly historic. Thank YOU so much for watching!! ^-^ RecologySpencer
