I Still Got the Blues, Just Not the Energy | Mississippi Delta Blues

Lord have mercy! I still got the blues… I just ain't got the ENERGY anymore! 😂🎸 *I Still Got the Blues, Just Not the Energy* is an original Mississippi Delta blues song about getting older, tired knees, aching backs, and realizing that your spirit is still young—even when your body has other plans! Remember when you could dance all night, stay out late, and still get up for work the next morning? Now just getting out of your favorite chair comes with a sound effect! Featuring gritty slide guitar, soulful harmonica, a deep, raspy blues voice, and old-school Southern storytelling, this song brings traditional Mississippi Delta blues together with funny, relatable lyrics about aging. From turning a treadmill into a coat rack to needing a heating pad after playing with the grandkids, this bluesman has learned one thing: You don't have to stop enjoying life just because you're getting older! 🎸 *WELCOME TO AIN'T THAT THE BLUES!* We create original blues songs inspired by the Mississippi Delta and the sounds of old Southern juke joints.
