Las Vegas International presents Elvis: Opening Night 1970

One of my favorite all-time shows is the January 26 1970 opening show! During this show Elvis introduced a total of 10 new songs to the setlist! One very notable performance is “True Love Travels on a Gravel Road”, which was only performed during this show and never again. Elvis rehearsed the song during the rehearsals for the summer 1972 festival, but as far as we know he didn't take it to the stage. The cover photo you see uses a more well-known photo from the Opening Night, but it is extended by ElvisVintageCulture on Instagram! I think it looks very good! I would also like to mention that this opening theme is amazing!! I absolutely love how it slowly transitions to “All Shook Up”! A shame there are some other sounds on this recording which disturb this nice theme.
