Manhattan Beach to Brighton Beach Avenue under the "EL" on June 30th 2023 with Commentary. We take the walk from Manhattan Beach with a quick look around before leaving the beach and heading over to Oriental Avenue with our planned destination of Brighton Beach Avenue in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn NY. Brighton Beach Avenue under the elevated rails is known for its high population of Russian-speaking citizens, and as a summer destination for New York City residents due to its beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and its proximity to the amusement parks in Coney Island. The walk will be pretty lively with many people moving around, and overhead trains during this walk. Probably my most noisy walk to date. So if you like some background city ambience, you will be in for a treat. Commentary along the way and some looks of the surrounding neighborhood of the 2 beaches. When we get to Brighton Beach Avenue, we will take the walk over to Ocean Parkway, and then cross over, and make our way back to the Brighton Beach Train stop servicing the Q and B Trains. Weather was very nice and walking conditions are very good on this walk. Noticeable haze from Canadian Wildfires is back, but not to the severity we experienced 2 weeks earlier.
