This videos's about another main character, Dry (His full name is Dry Carrion but it gets shortened to Dry) and he's a changeling. Changelings are people that look like normal humans until they hit puberty, in which they grow tails/claws/sharp teeth. Religiously, it's believed that changelings swap out their children with those of "normal" babies to kill and eat the original, becoming brood parasites (like cuckoos) so they don't have to raise their own children. They are parasites, and they should either reject what they are or die. (They can also turn into animals/other people if they eat that thing's heart I couldn't figure out how to nicely put it into this paragraph lmao) In Dry's case, he was raised extremely religiously and fully believes every bad thing about changelings—all of it extending to himself as well. He's incredibly self-destructive and self-hating. He sees himself as just the walking corpse of someone else, someone he was supposed to be (hence why he named himself Dry Carrion). However, he still craves to be loved like he was when he was a child. Dry started spending time with Faith specifically with the intention of killing them, eating their heart, being loved by everyone for a few days, and then being found out and killed himself. But as they spent more and more time together, Dry started to genuinely like Faith as a person. Dry both loves and hates Faith. Dry hates what Faith is; they're the Golden Child, everyone loves them, everyone's hoping the best for them. But Faith, individually, is an earnest, shy, and kind individual.
