Oman - Traditional dhow (sailing vessel) building

For centuries Dhows, traditional wooden sailing vessels, have ploughed the seas around the Arabic Peninsula. Today few shipyards are left. Most building work is now done by people from South Asia. We visited one of the shipyards in Sur, Oman during our overland trip from the Netherlands to South Africa.
