Titus 1:10-16 "Guarding the Church"

Why does the church need qualified elders? In Titus 1:10–16, Paul explains how elders are called to protect the church from harmful influences, correct error with the goal of restoration, and help believers distinguish truth from false teaching. As we study this passage, we're reminded that the church belongs to Jesus Christ. Our confidence is not in human leaders or religious rules, but in Christ alone.
