Some people enter a room and seem to say something before they say a single word.
Not because they are wearing the most expensive clothes.
Not because they are following the latest fashion trend.
But because somehow, everything about them seems to communicate something.
Their clothes.
Their grooming.
Their posture.
The way they carry themselves.
And it makes you wonder:
What are we saying before we even begin speaking?
Power dressing isn't about pretending to be someone else. It isn't about wearing a suit simply because a suit looks powerful.
Perhaps true power lies in something much simpler: understanding who you are, understanding where you are, and intentionally deciding how you want to be perceived.
Because before people know your qualifications, hear your ideas, or understand your story, they see you.
And consciously or unconsciously they begin reading the signals.
So here's a question worth asking:
The next time you stand in front of your wardrobe, don't just ask, “What should I wear?”
Ask yourself:
“What do I want my appearance to say about me today?”
I'd genuinely love to know your thoughts: Do you believe clothes influence how people perceive us, or is true competence all that really matters?
