Ok, this isn't too spectacular especially cos very little happens during a moderately long video, but here it is! this thing has 20 LED's and it averages constantly toward the tenth LED, visualizing just fast variations of mains voltage, every LED means 1V (not calculated initially, it was luck), it's powered separately by 5V and there's a transformer with rectification and some pi networks to make a steep low pass filter at like 80Hz, so the LED's don't flicker with the 100Hz out of the bridge but it's fairly fast at visualizing glitches, it's made with two LM3914 and some trashy pink(?) LED's i have a pack of, i couldn't for the life of me make the LED's dimmer :(
I wanted to see better what the hell is happening on my mains cos trust me it's not good, it sometimes has dips (way more than what you see) and it also "rectifies" for some seconds, i noticed it's not only my house doing it, it's common to my whole town or more(!!)... anyways here you can see various glitches, some of even 5V, apart the hairdrier i mean, the digital voltmeter you see is chinese, it's precise but veeeeeeeery slow, the two tools paired make a nice "mains doctor", pretty often one can see that after a dip the voltage on the digital voltmeter goes down, it's just the voltmeter being slow, it actually drops fast and stays lower
Schematic here:: https://imgur.com/a/2B0Rcca you can take the schematic of the 20 LED's bargraph from the LM3914 datasheet
