Rdunae 'Willard' - 6105 - Second Arrival From AliExpress 11/11 Sale - In Eggstra Yellow - Cool Logo!

If you go to the AliExpress site and look for this Rdunae 6105, you will find it described as an SKX style watch. Obviously, this is not accurate. The rubber strap certainly is an SKX style strap and the index markers are SKX but the case itself is all Captain Willard. You can tell by the markings on its shell. Seiko Turtles are like the Cognac/Brandy thing.... All Cognacs are brandy's, but not all brandy's are Cognacs. The Goods - I think the logo is excellent, if not a little out of context.... but not really. The dial color is very attractive. The case back is detailed and interesting. Lasers are cool. The slightly domed sapphire is quite nice. The lume is good.. Not as good as my SKX, but pretty good all the same. If you decide to order this piece, spring for the large spring bars too... I mean, the strap is designed for them but not included. Yeah. The Bads - Ok... The finish is not super great. I feel the sharp edges when turning the crown and the bezel. One would need to take the watch apart and and go at all the edges with a bit of emery cloth. I will probably not. Things like this... Details like this are reflected in the cost of these items. This certainly is a modders dream..... although I have to look at these homage pieces as modded for you. The bezel itself looks good but it could be a lot more grippy. The coin edge feels too smooth... I don't really fool with a bezel too much anyway.... I mean.. Sometimes, I do. The 'action' is crisp and farty like a good diver does. I really grabbed this watch for the dial color and layout. The screw down crown could open and close a little more smoothly. Let's hope this wears in and becomes a little easier over time. Rome may not have been built in a day but I am quite certain that this watch was. The Uglies - The rubber strap is ok. A little stiff and it grips the wrist like it's life depends on it.... and it may. I think these come out of the same factory as Steeldive and probably many other of these styles of watches. The crowns are the same, any way. I have another, smaller version of this watch. Same company and assumed, the same factory. The fit and finish on that one is excellent... I am wearing this one, though. Now, I am not a diver of watery depths, but if I were, I might think that a bright yellow dial with large, pearly gobs of green-glowing goo would be just the ticket in the murky, and isolated saltchuck. Delivery was fast. Ordered on 11/11 (duh) and received on 12/10.
