I love American Girl doll restorations! I love American Girl dolls, I love making old things new, and I love understanding how and why things function the way they do. So I decided to take a scientific approach to restoring American Girl dolls by looking at how their “hair” and wigs are made, and using that knowledge to better inform my restoration practices. In this video I’ll break everything down, walk you through two American Girl dolls restorations, and show you three restored dolls in total. The dolls featured in this video are American Girl Historical Caroline Abbott 1812, Just Like You 21 (JLY 21), and My American Girl 23 (MAG 23).
