The fire was almost out. Someone left the light on in the cabin across the clearing. Filmed from the screened porch, 11:40 PM, August 1984. Fireflies over the grass, crickets in the pines, and the last of the fire settling in the pit. Two hours, unbroken. No mid-roll ads — this plays through. Best with the lights off, or from under a blanket.
