First Pokemon Crystal playthrough part 2 Time to get buff

Generation 2 is the generation I feel the most nostalgia for, but I haven't played it in forever because the batteries in my cartridges were dead. I had Gold as a kid. I bought Crystal from a friend at some point, but when I wanted to do my own playthrough the battery had died. I've never actually played through this game. Which also means I've never done the gen 2 battle tower which is something that I want to do. I've already decided on most of the members of my playthrough team. It's mostly going to be a mix of pokemon that I used as a kid and pokemon that I think do quite well in gen 2 while mostly avoiding pokemon with really bad level up moves.
