Back in the 90's, New York Smooth Jazz WQCD 101.9 Radio Station, was always at vanguard when comes to play good music. . One of the key elements of their success was the variety of music from all over planet, specially Brazilian Jazz. One Sunday night while I listening to the Sound Of Brazil, a famous radio show aired every Sunday late evening, I had the opportunity to come across a tune by brazilian Saxophonist Leo Gandelman, that really cough my attention."Furuvude", even the title's song was very couchy to me. Then in the 2000, a musician friend of my introduced me to Leo Gandelman, who was living in New York city at that time. Well, ever since we become friends. Then in year 2002, he returned to Brazil and put together his band with a very stellar group of young brazilian musicians, including his nephew Alberto Continentino on Bass. This video features Leo Gandelman and his group live in Sao Paula Brazil, performing the song "Furuvude".
