44" Hampton Bay Clarkston Ceiling Fan with Hilarious Wiring Failure

Here is a 44" Hampton Bay Clarkston ceiling fan which has a hilarious wiring failure. This fan was installed on a wall control similar to the Hunter Right-at-Home and Hampton Bay Glendales, but was done so incorrectly. The fan and light were both wired to the same 3-speed switch that is only meant for the fan, leading to some very odd behavior with the light kit when using the fan on the wall control. The fan can be wired to a 3-speed control like this, but the light should be wired to a separate stepless dimmer to avoid the oddities you are about to see here. The pull chains were also labeled backwards but that's not the main issue with this fan. Please keep all comments respectful and valid.
