viofo A329S dashcam setup & install july 8, 2025

I got this dashcam because for the first time, it has the "multiplex" file feature, which allows for much easier file handling and management. Also I saw that they now make OBD2 cable sets with channels 4,5, and 16 only such that it doesn't interfere with the car's other functions and I can use it simply as a quasi usb-C only connector to the battery system with adjustments for when the battery cuts off (I use 12.4 volts). This makes installation and use of these dashcams easy as pie. I show how I install it after testing it, firmware upgrading it, and show samples of how well it works immediately post-install.ation. I'm not shilling this product and don't want you to buy one. If I were rich and had to recommend one to buy, I'd perhaps recommend the Thinkware U3000 instead, but here I'm just showing how I install and use the poor man's dashcam that offers everything one could possibly need.
