Today, we proudly opened Phil Hall Park, a vibrant new space that brings together pickleball players, dog lovers, families, and neighbors. Located at 2641 Paige Ave., the park is a fresh, welcoming addition to the city — a place built with heart, partnership, and purpose.
The park features six brand‑new pickleball courts, ADA‑accessible restrooms, a shaded rest area, landscape enhancements, and dog park, which includes both a small‑dog side and a large‑dog side to keep our furry friends safe and comfortable.
This project was made possible in part by the dedication of the NSB Pickleball Club, whose $15,000 contribution helped bring the vision to life.
But today’s celebration carries an even deeper significance.
During construction, our community lost one of its brightest spirits — Phil Hall, a beloved ambassador of pickleball in New Smyrna Beach. Phil wasn’t just a player; he was a teacher, a connector, a volunteer, a storyteller, and a friend to everyone he met. His passion for the sport helped reestablish the NSB Pickleball Club, strengthen its partnership with the city, and inspire countless people to pick up a paddle for the first time.
Naming this park in his honor ensures that his energy, kindness, and enthusiasm will always be part of the game here.
Today, as the first balls bounce on these new courts, we celebrate not only a beautiful new park — we celebrate Phil’s legacy, his love for this community, and the joy he brought to so many lives.
