Inscriptions + Awesome Hike at El Morro National Monument, New Mexico (25 of 419)

El Morro National Monument near Grants, New Mexico was the next unit we visited along Route 66. For centuries, travelers lured here by the promise of a reliable water source, have left their names indelibly inscribed on the cliffs beneath a giant 875-room pueblo!
