Em Pathik: Natural Language

Out now on Sublease Music: https://SubleaseMusic.lnk.to/NaturalL... Following on from his appearance on Fragments Vol. 02 Em Pathik makes his Sublease Music debut with Natural Language, a four-track EP that sits comfortably between deep house and the more stripped-back end of deep tech. Following recent releases for Framed Realities and deeperdub, he continues to refine a sound centred around groove, detailed percussion and basslines that do much of the talking. The title track “Natural Language” settles into a rolling rhythm early on, with carefully placed melodic elements and subtle shifts giving the track its character as it develops. Mihai Popoviciu takes over for the remix, bringing his own well-established deep house sensibility to the material and reshaping the groove with a typically precise touch. “Sensation” moves into slightly more direct territory, keeping the arrangement lean and the rhythm firmly at the centre. Marco Weber completes the EP with his remix of “Sensation”, continuing a connection with Em Pathik that has already seen the two artists cross paths on recent releases. His version adds another perspective to the original while staying close to the understated club language running through the whole record. #deephouse #housemusic #electronicmusic
