After filming the 92 Street NW crossing on the same line, I headed over to this crossing next to get a re-recording of it with its upgraded setup. I of course didn’t wait long until I got this northbound Capital Line train zipping through with a 3-car Siemens-DüWag U2 consist.
Since my first video of this crossing from 2019, it, along with many others along the original portion of the Capital Line, were completely upgraded with new signals in 2020. As per usual, the signals feature largely WCH equipment with Alstom LED inserts for the 8” lights and GE Uniform Look LED inserts for the 12” lights. The bells here are two GS Type 3 E-Bells, located on two of the pedestrian signals. A bit of a downgraded from the previous setup, which featured four bells (two WCH E-Bells, two Novax DS100 Speakers). Finally, there are also a couple of traffic signal masts that were installed as cantilevers too.
