Andraab Lake or Andrab Lake — one of the pristine alpine lakes hidden deep in the mountains of Swat Valley, Pakistan. The journey from Kalam to Andraab Lake is an adventure in itself. The route takes around three and a half hours by jeep, following the river through dense forests, narrow valleys, rugged mountain tracks and several river crossings. The main attraction that comes just after travelling 40 minutes from Kalam, is Bluewater - a tranquil spot for hardcore nature lovers but the real adventure begins after Bluewater heaven and riding on the jeep roof will make it even more adventurous. After leaving from Bluewater, the journey turns more romantic as we dive deep into the tall mountains of Swat valley with river flowing all along the way, passing through the dense forests and crossing multiple water streams that terminate into the river flowing besides the jeep track. The journey doesn't end after 3.5 hours. After leaving the jeep, there is another 30-minute trek before the lake finally comes into view. And then... Andraab Lake. Surrounded by towering mountains, snow-covered peaks and crystal-clear water, the lake feels like a reward for everything it took to get there. What makes Andraab even more interesting is that it isn't only a destination for experienced trekkers. Families and regular tourists can also make the journey with proper preparation, making it an exciting new attraction to explore around Kalam and Swat Valley.
