What happens when you take a free boat, repurposed parts and a lot of sweat equity and put them all together? This 1994 Angler 17-foot center console was given to me in rough shape. I brought it back to life for as little money as possible, and in this video you see the whole thing, from the day I got it to a 37 MPH run on the Suwannee River. It starts with a recap of the first part of the build: getting the old 70 HP Johnson two-stroke to fire, gutting and pressure washing the hull, and fitting a console and a fuel tank that both came off salvaged pontoon boats. Then the new work: lifting the whole boat off a flatbed with a one-ton chain hoist and an oak tree, waking the motor back up, hooking up the controls, and launch day.
