Salem at Night in September | Halloween Season Walk | 4K City Ambience

Salem doesn’t wait until October to get interesting after dark. So on a September evening, we took the camera downtown to see what the start of Halloween season actually looks and sounds like. 🌙 This (roughly) 43-minute walk takes us past the Ropes Mansion, the Witch House, the Peabody Essex Museum, the Salem Witch Museum, Goodnight Fatty and along Essex Street. Some stretches are quiet enough to hear our footsteps. Around the next corner, there’s a crowd, a busker playing or someone dressed as a familiar face... Keep an eye out for Michael Myers, Pennywise, BigTop Tiny and more of our favorites. Old Town Hall also puts on quite a show that night, lit up for a party in a way that feels very Salem. The fall colors haven’t arrived yet. That’s part of why we wanted to capture this walk: the city is already getting into the season, and it’ll look different again in a few weeks. We’ll be back out with the cameras as fall moves along... No narration.
