Morning Prayers: Verses of Praise: Hallelukah, Hallelu – Part 01 (Class 121)

Join Rabbi Ben Tzion Krasnianski as he begins teaching Hallelukah, Hallelu (Psalm 148) — one of the Halleluyah psalms in Pesukei Dezimra. הַלְלוּיָהּ, הַלְלוּ אֶת יְיָ מִן הַשָּׁמַיִם, הַלְלוּהוּ בַּמְּרוֹמִים׃ Praise God! Praise God from the heavens; praise Him in the lofty heights. הַלְלוּהוּ כָל מַלְאָכָיו, הַלְלוּהוּ כָּל צְבָאָיו׃ Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts. הַלְלוּהוּ שֶׁמֶשׁ וְיָרֵחַ, הַלְלוּהוּ כָּל כּוֹכְבֵי אוֹר׃ Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all the stars that shine. הַלְלוּ אֶת יְיָ מִן הָאָרֶץ, תַּנִּינִים וְכָל תְּהֹמוֹת׃ Praise God from the earth, the sea-serpents and all [the creatures of] the watery depths. יְהַלְלוּ אֶת שֵׁם יְיָ, כִּי נִשְׂגָּב שְׁמוֹ לְבַדּוֹ, הוֹדוֹ עַל אֶרֶץ וְשָׁמָיִם׃ Let them all praise the name of God, for His name is exalted alone. His glory is upon the earth and heaven. וַיָּרֶם קֶרֶן לְעַמּוֹ... לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַם קְרֹבוֹ, הַלְלוּיָהּ׃ He raised a standard for His nation… for the Children of Israel, the people close to Him.
