Alien Admiral Called the Cadet's War Bear a Runt—Then It Sniffed His Glove and Would NOT Let Go

He called her war bear a runt in front of two fleets, and in this HFY story that was only his first mistake. On a frozen frontier moon, Pathfinder cadet Agata Nowak and Olga, her nine-year-old bear from the Tatra mountains, stand inspection before Admiral Taldrun, an alien officer who swears no animal could ever tell him apart from his own aide. Then he holds out his gloved hand and dares her to smell him, and everything he has buried for fourteen months starts to come back up. A slow-burn sci-fi bedtime story for adults about an underestimated human, a bear who never forgets a job, and the touch that turned the whole frontier upside down. #HFY #HFYStories #SciFiBedtimeStories #HumanitySciFi #SciFi
