This isn’t our first time doing a trip like this — but each return feels just as meaningful. Living and raising a family remotely has taught us the value of slowing down, of choosing presence over convenience, and of stepping away from the noise of everyday life whenever we can. A bothy trip strips everything back to the essentials: warmth, food, conversation, and time together.
