Rear Diff Lock Mistake? We Slid Into the Trees

In this one, we ended up stuck way too close to the trees. My best guess is that engaging the rear diff lock caused the right wheel to dig in and slide the car sideways toward the tree. Every attempt to drive out only made the lean worse, and suddenly we were in a very awkward spot. I had a tree on one side, and backing out was not really an option either because there was another tree waiting there too. At that point, the only safe solution was to use the winch, carefully reposition the Pajero, and then slowly drive it down into a safe line again. A small mistake, but it could have ended with damaged bodywork very quickly.
