What if you could copy a tooth’s natural anatomy before removing the decay — and use it to rebuild the tooth afterward?
In this video, I show how the occlusal stamp technique can be used to reproduce a tooth’s original anatomy during a composite restoration.
Before removing the decay, a stamp of the original occlusal surface is created. After caries removal, etching, bonding, and composite placement, the stamp is pressed onto the final layer of composite to recreate the tooth’s original shape.
The result? A natural-looking restoration with accurate occlusal anatomy and less finishing and adjustment.
🦷 Watch the full procedure step by step and see how the original tooth anatomy can become the blueprint for its own restoration.
