Restoring a 1987 TAG Heuer 844/5 | ETA 2824-2 Automatic

In this video, I bring a 1987 TAG Heuer 844/5 Professional 200 Metres Automatic Diver back to life. Powered by the legendary ETA 2824-2 automatic movement, this nearly 40-year-old TAG Heuer was still running well, but it had a few issues that needed attention. The movement was missing its stopping lever, which meant the hacking function wasn't working when the crown was pulled out. I replace the missing stopping lever, refresh the case, install a new crystal, relume the hands, and fit a new bracelet — giving this classic TAG Heuer diver a fresh look while keeping its original vintage character. The TAG Heuer 844 is a classic from an important era of TAG Heuer dive watches, and this example proves that a vintage watch doesn't need to be completely destroyed to deserve some attention.
