🧳 Checking In: My stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Terminal 4 wasn't planned, but sometimes life throws unexpected surprises. I was here due to a flight delay, thanks to British Airways' overselling habit. 🙄 🚿 Clean and Comfy: The room, while not the grandest, pleasantly surprised us. The bathroom was spotless, with all the essentials you'd need for a refreshing shower. 🚿✨ 🛌 Sweet Dreams: The bed, albeit a bit small, was comfortable. I was thankful for the four pillows, and the crumbs were a little surprise gift! 😴🍪 🖥️ Stay Connected: The room had enough plug sockets and a decent TV for some entertainment. You could even connect your devices. 📺🔌 ☕ Coffee Lovers Rejoice: Basic coffee and tea facilities, along with a mini kettle, were at your service. ☕🍵 🌡️ Temperature Control: The air conditioning system allowed us to set a comfortable temperature in the room. Not too hot, not too cold. 🌡️❄️ 🪑 Workspace Challenge: The "workspace" wasn't ideal, but you could get some work done if needed. 💼📚 🪟 Not-So-Scenic View: Unfortunately, our window faced an inner roof. We could spy on people in the Crown Plaza across the way, though! 👀🏙️ 🍽️ Food for Thought: Now, let's talk about the food. The selection for delayed travelers like us left much to be desired. It seems British Airways is trying to cut corners here. The actual restaurant looked promising, though. 🍔🍟 😴 Good Night's Rest: Despite the food situation, we slept remarkably well. The bed was cozy, and we were well-rested for our next adventure. 😴✨ 🛍️ Extra Perks: They offer delivery to the room for items like toothpaste and sanitary products. Convenience at its best. 📦🚪 🚆 Airport Proximity: Keep in mind, while you're in the airport, it's not a hop, skip, and jump away from the terminals. You'll need to take a couple of trains, so plan accordingly. 🚆✈️ In a nutshell, the stay was satisfactory for an unplanned stopover. Just ensure you've got enough time to make it to your next flight, as the train schedules can be a bit tricky.
