Subscribe for exclusive performances and let the melodies transport you. 🎙️ About Orestes Gómez Orestes Gómez is a Venezuelan drummer, percussionist, producer, and composer whose music bridges the ancestral rhythms of Venezuela with jazz, hip-hop, electronic music, and contemporary Latin sounds. Known for his distinctive approach to rhythm and production, Orestes draws deeply from Afro-Venezuelan and Afro-Caribbean traditions, transforming them through improvisation, modern sound design, and an adventurous musical language. His work has taken him to stages around the world and has included collaborations across jazz, alternative, urban, and Venezuelan music. His latest album, No Me Fui Porque Quise, is a deeply personal exploration of migration, identity, memory, and the Venezuelan diaspora. The project combines traditional percussion with hip-hop, jazz, Afrobeat, Caribbean influences, and electronic textures, reflecting both his roots and his evolution as a producer and artist. Through his work, Orestes has developed a musical voice that is unmistakably Venezuelan while remaining global, experimental, and forward-looking—using rhythm as a meeting point between tradition and innovation.
